Hormone
FAQ's
-
Your
body contains over 100 different types of hormones.
- Hormones are molecules that are synthesized and secreted by glands.
- Hormones are transported through the bloodstream and transfer information and instructions between cells.
- Hormones act like keys in a lock, or pieces to a puzzle.
-
Hormonal
communication patterns become less efficient long
before this inefficiency manifests into chronic
disease.
-
Natural
hormone replacement consists of finely tuned individualized
substances that are identical in structure and quantity
to what a young, healthy body produces.
-
Natural
hormone replacement is not the massive pharmaceutical
quantities included in standard hormone prescriptions.
-
The
future of health care will be based on hormone control.
What a challenge it is to be part of this shift in paradigms.

Dances
with Hormones
Have
your hormones come between you and your MD?
I used to love my OB/GYN. We were partners in keeping me
healthy. Showing up for my annual visit was, at worst, a
mild inconvenience.
That is, until my hormones started doing their dance - moving
me into what appeared to be my change-of-life. I was no
longer satisfied with the information I was getting from
her.
I'm sure she meant well. But, her busy practice wasn't allowing
her the time to keep current on the latest research. And,
the drug reps who visited weren't going to educate her on
any advances outside traditional medicine.
So,
I became my own health advocate, and set out on a journey
that ultimately lead me to discover how to restore a more
normal, physiologically rhythmic cycle to my life.
One
aspect of this includes the use of a natural, Bioidentical
HRT protocol outlined in T.S. Wiley's "Sex,
Lies, & Menopause."
Here's
a list of doctors who are offering this solution.
BEWARE

Ever since the 2002 Women's Health Initiative (WHI) report, women have become increasingly concerned about estrogen and hormone replacement therapy.
If you're looking for clarity regarding whether hormone replacement is safe or not - you're not going to find it on KnowMenopause.com. This site is owned by Wyeth Pharmaceuticals.
Their cleverly designed website and ad campaign are hiding the truth about the dangers of their hormone replacement therapy Premarin - the conjugated estrogen made from pregnant mare's urine - and Prempro, the conjugated estrogen and synthetic progesterone drug (known as ‘progestin’).
The 2002 Women's Health Initiative (WHI) report indicated that both Premarin and Prempro caused a significant increase in breast cancer, blood clots to the lungs, heart attacks and strokes. Many consumers don't understand that this study did not include natural bioidentical compounded estrogen and progesterone.
Wyeth has been throwing its political and financial weight into outlawing the use of natural bioidentical hormone replacement. Its not in their financial interest to have consumers that understand the benefits of using natural compounds. They're counting on the largely uninformed populace to remain fearful and not seek out the truth.
And so, its up to each of us to stay educated in the face of Wyeth's campaign of misinformation.

Bioidentical
Hormone Replacement for
Dummies
* Bioidentical refers to the shape of the molecule - not the source of the hormone.
* Bioidentical hormones are derived from plants.
* However, just because hormones are plant-based doesn't mean the molecules match.
* Bioidentical hormones can be applied transdermally (onto the skin).
* You get them from a compounding
pharmacy. Your doctor must write you a prescription.
* Here's what my prescription syringes look like.

The green cap is my E2 (Estradiol). The purple cap is my P4 (progesterone) and the blue cap is my testosterone cream.
*
A rhythmic dosage (one that rises and falls) is recommended
- versus a static one (most pharmaceutical preparations).
